Thanksgiving Workout: Tough Turkey

I asked one of my nearest & dearest buds / my personal trainer, Amanda Dale, to create a custom Thanksgiving workout so we all don't have to feel so guilty about stuffing our faces this holiday. Warm up with 60 seconds of jumping jacks, then get ready to make your way through the "buffet" of exercise options.  You MUST choose at least three appetizers, two entrees, and one dessert - but you can mix and match as you wish!  None of these exercises require equipment, so you can do them anywhere you are this holiday - and you can always "add seconds" if you want to REALLY feel the burn!

 

APPETIZERS

20 knees-to-elbows (10 per side)

30 pushups

40 squats

40 lunges (20 per side)

30 bicycle crunches

20 V-ups

 

ENTREES

1 minute sprints OR "shadow rope" (like jump rope without the rope)

1 minute burpees

1 minute side shuffles

30 plank-ups (15 per side)

40 squat-to-side kick (20 per side)

40 walking lunges 

30 jump squats

25 in-out crunches

 

DESSERTS

1 minute plank

30 second side plank (x2)

1 minute boat pose

1 minute wall sit
