I fancy myself a bit of a wine expert… if you count frequent usage of the “When Wine” app, only purchasing bottles $10 or less, and having been to Napa Valley once. So of course, I jumped at the chance to attend an exclusive wine pairing dinner at so•ca with Patricio Santos, winemaker at Ricardo Santos Vineyards in Argentina. Finally, a chance to rub elbows with likeminded, vino knowledgeable peers!Read More

Since relocating back to Raleigh, Whiskey Kitchen has been one of my go-to spots. Whether if it's entertaining a friend visiting from out of town, a client meeting, or just a quick drink, I know that the food, drinks, and staff will always be wondering. When I heard that Whiskey Kitchen's quarterly Supper Club was coming up, I jumped at the chance to go.Read More
This is a week late but....
The past few weeks have been non-stopped for me and last weekend was no exception. My schedule has been filled, morning, noon, and night with workouts, hangouts, and work events. This year, I am attempting to say "yes" to more activities and while I am getting little sleep, I am having the best time.Read More
You guys know I am all about different holistic treatments, ESPECIALLY if I can get a Groupon deal on them. *insert Honey Boo Boo coupon queen gif here* Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that Himalayan salt is all the rage right now. I have a love-hate relationship with yoga. I love yoga, but I hate how much membership fees at most yoga studios cost. It can be hard to get your namaste on when all you can think about is how much your bank account is hurting. Sure, there are affordable online options out there but being the extrovert that I am, I prefer a class setting. While battling a few different health problems lately, yoga is my best option in terms of working out. Because of this, I have had to research class options that won't break the bank.
Thankfully for me, Raleigh is a city who loves yoga and has tons of affordable options.Read More
When it comes to flowers, I have #thoughts. Mostly, it's just a massive jealousy because guys I dated never sent me flowers, or because I think roses are boring and overpriced. However, over the past few years, I have learned to love going to Trader Joes or Whole Foods to buy all kinds of different flowers and create arrangements at home. There's one tiny problem, I have not a damn clue what I am doing. After weeks of lurking SkillPop, I decided I would bite the bullet and take a floral arrangement class.Read More
Everyday, someone asks me how my move has been and everyday I say "Ommm..it's okay??". The follow up question is always "Do you miss LA?". I don't. But I do. I was in Los Angeles for 7 years and it's hard to let go of it as I feel like so much of my identity was shaped there. However, it's good to be home.
Since day 1 in NC, I have tried to figure out my new "go to" spots so I figured I would share some of my LA substitutions in Raleigh as well as my weird bootleg rating system.Read More
During my brief funemployment stint, I discovered the glory that is Wahlburgers, a TV show that follows the Wahlberg family's restaurant adventures. I quickly became obsessed with Mark, Donnie and Paul, as well as the rest of the family. I obsessively tweeted gifs of Mark in his younger days. I obsessively posted Facebook status's saying I needed to attend a Wahlburgers.
You will understand my excitement when I got an email telling me that WAHLBURGERS IS COMING TO RALEIGH!!!!!Read More
